Navy SEAL Would Like Dick Cheney to Confess to Murder

"You give me a waterboard, Dick Cheney and one hour, and I'll have him confess to the Sharon Tate murders."

So says Navy SEAL, professional wrestling entertainer, star of "Predator" and former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura in an interview with Larry King. Ventura claims that waterboarding is torture, based on the waterboarding he endured during SEAL training.

He also says some negative things about former President George W. Bush. Watch the entire clip at CNN (via The Awl).

cheney is an autocratic hack and california has certainly corrupted ventura's ethics. its easy for anyone who's never been shot at to criticize warfare and the manner in which we wage it. but, it is our duty to uphold the liberties that are provided by our constitution. then again, our constitution only applies to americans. after what i've experienced all i have to say is, kill 'em all; let god sort 'em out.

What's happened to our country is it is overflowing with people just like you that hold on to this left wing/right wing paradigm in a desperate need to belong to some sort of "group" or "club". You refuse to let go of your security blanket and even consider a mere thought that might not fit inside your tight little "box". While you and everyone else are busy fighting the "other" group, our country and our rights are being taken away from us more and more every day. If you didn't have such a huge Ego, I would say maybe there is hope to turn things around, but as I see it, there are too many people just like you to enact any real change... dumbed-down, status quo existing, brain-washed people that are too terrified to let go of their "business as usual" way of life. I guess it's more fun to pretend like you have all the answers and yell at people than it is to actually try and be a part of the solution. Of course, it's also the easy way out...

The problem with torture is what it does to us , as a nation that did not allow torture we at least had the high ground , you may not think it important , but being in the right has moral , legal and other implications ,set aside your feelings left or right and just look at it from a human point of view, torture is depravity if you are the one being tortured and it sets aside our right as a nation to ask that our people are not tortured, any service men or women can now expect to be tortured simply because we as a nation have done that to our alledged enemies, at that point it becomes arguable for an opposing force to do the same , the reason for the Geneva code is to protect each nations people and gives them the expectation if a certain level of POW treatment, we have removed that protection for our own people by the actions of one administration, let's go back now to the moral implications , by not torturing we have the ability to rise above our detractors, it gives us the right to say , we don't torture and we expect the same behavior from you( opposing force)now we can't say that,we tortured one guy over a hundred times and information gained from torture is known to be slanted to what ever the torturer wants to hear , so where is the value , politically , morally and contractually?

That pretty much says it all w/o all the other pros and cons or riding the false right - left paradigm! Even Traitor McCain said torture was no good for getting reliable info and was wrong (in the Republican primary debates). And finally, maybe you brainwashed tough guys who would suck turds through a straw if they were red, white & blue liked the waterboarding, but that's also thrown in with a lot of other things over the months/years (like sleep deprivation, mind manipulation, physical abuse and so forth) and some of our military is cracking from doing their normal "duty" for three or four turns of duty and coming back alcoholics, committing suicide or killing others, going on antidepressants or psychotropics, etc., and no one tortured them...except their government who kept them there fighting the no-win perpetual "war on terror" that Bush, Cheney and Obama said was all but over! Your government created al Qaeda and uses them to get what they want from the "dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy" as Henry Kissinger refers to you as!

I'm fighting in 'this mans Army' and I support this 'torture'. #1 Because as Jesse so aptly says, we do it to our own. We do it to our own because its effective AND theres no lasting physical effects-short of F### I hope that doesn't happen again. We do it to our OWN PEOPLE #2 If waterboarding a guy makes it so a terror plot is stopped, let me get the 5 Gallon jug to help out. #3 These terrorist (and that IS what they are) cut our peoples heads off.
